Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father’s Day!

Here at the market, we love dads. And we want you to bring your dad out to visit us this weekend so that we can help you show him how special he is to you!

As usual, we will be hosting all kinds of Dad friendly products and activities. If your dad is an early riser, you can bring him out first thing for a nice hot coffee from the Main Street Market and a goat milk cinnamon bun from Goaty Girls, or perhaps a savoury treat in the form of one of Luis Munoz’s Central American pupusas!

Would your dad rather sleep in? Well, luckily for you we can supply him with the best lunch in town, with butter chicken from Paulina’s Curry Mix, some spanakopita from Memories of Alexandria, or a refreshing tropical quinoa salad from Sweetjar Salads.

No matter what time you get here, our vendors have got the best fresh produce in town. Whether you’re looking for mixed greens or mushrooms, rhubarb or radishes, we have got the seasonal produce that you need from your choice of local family farms.

And it’s not just the veggies. We can hook you up with all of the fixings for your Father’s Day barbecue. Grab some ecologically raised pork ribs from Haanoverview Farms and slather them with Hannah’s Maple barbecue sauce, or get some ground Limousin beef from Maple Lim Farm for some burgers and top them off with some Bushgarden Gouda.

Once you’ve picked up all the food you need, you can browse through our many artists and crafters. There’s something for every dad, whether it’s a new tie dyed shirt from one of our clothing vendors, a sweet chair for relaxing in the backyard from Knowlton Lake productions, body care from Shiva’s Delight, or some new fishing gear from GS Tackle.

While you and your dad shop, you can listen to our musician for the day, local singer/songwriter Chris Giguere, who will be starting his performance at 11:00.  And the best part of all about spending the day at the Memorial Centre Market? Running into all your friends and catching up with your favourite vendors. Lots of them are dads too, so make sure to bring the love!
