Warming up for a Second Season

Warming up for a Second Season

Hello Market-goers!

As we slowly try to emerge from a Winter that just doesn’t want to let go, we are ramping up our preparations for the Memorial Centre Farmers’ Market’s 2013 season! That’s right: thanks to our amazing vendors and some unbeatable community support, our pilot season was such a success that we just had to come back for more.  Starting May 12th, we will be back at 303 York Street from 9-2 every Sunday through October 27th.

So, what can you expect in 2013?

First, and most importantly, we will continue to offer top-quality produce, meats, baked goods, prepared foods, and artisans. All of your favourites will be returning, with more than a few new additions that we know you are going to love.

Secondly, we will be expanding our special events calendar to feature even more local musicians, performers, and learning opportunities for your enjoyment during your day out.

Thirdly, we have added some new ways for you to support the market. As well as keeping your food dollars in the local economy, you can also help us reach more people by showing off a Memorial Centre Market supporter sticker (and keep your eyes peeled for more items later in the season). You can buy a sticker or get one by joining us as a supporter member. Email us at memorialcentremarket@gmail.com or see us at the market information booth for more info. If you own a business, we also have options for market sponsorship as well.

Well Kingston, that’s all we have for now. But mark your calendars, and we will see you on May 12th!

  1. For a few years I was a vendor at the Springer Market downtown, selling my environmentally friendly hand sewn items: ‘Green With Envy’ fabric totes and Eco-Sandwich wraps, Green Produce bags etc. I have a decor business full time and have been very busy to attend a market 3 days a week, but Sundays from 9-2 I could manage 🙂 Can I find out more about your vendor policy and costs…?
    Thank you!
